moeThe Ministry of Education on Tuesday (7/7/2020) announced plans to reopen Primary and secondary schools in 2021 shelving earlier plans to reopen schools in September 2020.

The Education cabinet secretary Prof. George Magoha said the education stakeholders had resolved to reopen all basic education learning institutions in January 2021 based on the assumption that the infection curve will have flattened by December, 2020. Furthermore, there will be no Kenya Certificate of Primary Education and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examinations in 2020 and the 2020 Standard Eight and Form Four candidates will sit their National Examinations in 2021. George Magoha said that the 2020 academic year will be considered lost due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We continue to pray that our learners at Moto Hope Academy and their families are safe and strong despite the Covid-19 pandemic. As much as we miss having the children back at school, we support the Government of Kenya's decision. We continue to reach out to parents to let us know if we can be of any other help to their childlren as we keep them engaged holistically. We believe God has a reason for everything and we'll overcome!
